Just FYI. I'm probably going to be yoinking this too. I've been trying to make better icons because I'm so fucking jealous of yours and this looks like a great way to go about it. So yeah, I'm being all thieving and shit.

I absolutely adore your commentary, bb. You're hilarious and pretty awesome at explaining things. I understood most of it even though I don't use PS. (Parts I didn't get were just technical stuff because I don't use it, not because you didn't explain it well.)

Also, I love the finished icon. Especially the bit of red on Clay's shoulder. And the crop. And everything. You are awesome! <3

All the love for you, bb. I'll have to try again with PS some time soon. I'm finding though I am better with Stock icons rather than icons of like screen caps and stuff, but it's all so fun to play with! Hee <3

You've got GIMP, right? I tell you, it's really the best choice besides Photoshop. :3 I actually started a GIMP tutorial last night. I'm going to finish it this morning. <3

But yes, try hunting for a pirated PS version. You can try to download the trial version of whatever and use serial numbers to keep using it. I got mine through a CD that my friend gave to me, and I used serial numbers from the keygen inside the CD and also from the videos on Youtube.

I have a portable version on my laptop of PS that I've poked around on, but it still confuses me a lot. XD
