The Best I ever Had...

Looks like somebody has been a lazy bastard about posting...

So a tumultuous month and a half or so. Just lots of peaks and valleys. My grandmother passed away after a nearly yearlong battle with cancer last month. So I stayed pretty drunk for about 2 weeks after I returned from Chicago. Various family members were not happy about how I didn't really want to talk to anybody, but I'm the type I kind of shut down and it takes a virtual ton of energy for me to smile and talk to people who didn't realize who I was until they realize that I've lived over 800 miles away for over 20 years. I could go on, but I won't. It's pointless being pissed off at people who are pissed off at life in general and want to bring you down.

Good news is that I finally have my student loans paid off and in 5 weeks, I will have 1 of my 3 credit cards paid off. I also won an iPod nano and a iTunes gift card from a radio station that doesn't exist in reality. So I don't have to spend my own money on that cover of "Beat It" by FOB featuring John Mayer.

OK, back to the club sandwich of unhappiness. At the gym yesterday, I had my Chevron moment. After my work out, some dude starts asking me all about how he can gain weight like I did. Granted, I wanted to beat the fuck out of him, but 2 sweaty dudes wrestling around a gym locker room floor doesn't bode well on many angles. I told him he was really fucking rude and there was no need for him to speak to me anymore. Then he asked me for a ride to Publix. So either I'm an asshole or he is. Maybe you had to be there.

Wait, Puck got married? If he can find someone, I'm sure I can as well. But he's probably not the same man he was whenever I saw him um, 6 years ago now is it? Or maybe he is, fuck if I know.

Went to see Sick Puppies last week. They were awesome. Nikki is the greatest for getting me in and introducing me to a girl who thinks I'm funny when she's sober. So after the show, Nikki and I are talking at the bar getting hammered and I see Gennie come up behind her and give me the "Hey Asshole" wave. I did all I could think to do and say "Hey Gen" and she left with her 2 ugly friends. It wasn't awkward, but I just don't feel the need to go talk to her.

Anyway, the Thrashers will now continue their death march and the Braves are hopefully not coming up short this year. Here's to the draft...
