So Mardi Gras was different. Mostly because I was more sober than drunk when we went a few years ago. I think I'm recovered anyway.
Yesterday, Buck and Kincade were bitching about Billy Humphrey. Just incase you are one of the 90287609780986074360 who don't care about college basketball (until bracket time anyway), Billy Humphrey is the only above average player on UGA's mens team. After being suspended a few months ago for having a butterfly knife with a 2.5 inch blade on it in his dorm room, he got into more trouble leaving downtown Athens the other night when he walked into oncoming traffic in the form of an Athens-Clarke County squad car. I realize that Billy thinks since he's the star player on a mediocre at best D-1 team, that he can get away with anything. For once Kincade takes the normal approach reminding everyone that most college students, whether athletes or not, have no police record when they leave school. Buck starts bitching about how there is no integrity in college basketball anymore. Um, hello genius. The school you spent 3 years handing off to Herschel Walker at has never been known as a basketball school. Between that and the state the NBA is in, UGA's sanctions due to the Harrick family and the fact that Stegman Coliseum is a borderline shithole, take what you can get. Besides its not like the North Ave. Trade School is doing any better. Trust me, don't bother looking in the RPI top 96 and expect to find a school within our states borders...oh yeah, happy news for you and me
