American Idol Top 12 Girls

Feb 24, 2010 00:03

It's that time o' year again. Read if you're interested.

Ranked from worst to best:

12. Lacey Brown - Yeah...not much to say about her that wasn't already said by the judges. She seems like a nice girl, but that was just plain awful.

11. Ashley Rodriguez (Happy) - Don't like Leona Lewis, and I didn't really like her. She's pretty and she knows it, and her stank attitude is a turn-off. Also, she was pitchy, dawg.

10. Haeley Vaughn (I Want to Hold Your Hand)- That was....interesting. It's hard not to find her adorable, but then again it's hard to take her seriously. It was an interesting rearrangement, but I think it went too far. It was verging on chaotic. She does have some charm about her, even if she's not the best singer.

9. Didi Benami (The Way I Am) - The song choice was pretty obvious - that's exactly the kind of song I expected her to sing. It was decent, but kinda choppy. I liked her original "Hey Jude" audition, but since then she's just sounded kinda warbly.

8. Paige Myles (All Right Now) - I feel bad - this girl got zero screen time. She sounds like she could be good, but I agree, this was a silly choice. It's very much a group song.

7. Janell Wheeler (What About Love) - I like her vibe. She seemed nervous, and I agree the song was a little too big for her, but I do like her voice, and there's something about her that makes me want to give her another shot.

6. Katie Stevens (Feelin' Good) - Not surprised that she got the pimp spot. That said, girl can blow, and I like the fact that she didn't pick some Whitney/Mariah song. She seemed nervous. I disagree with the judges - we don't really need another teeny-bopper. She's original, and I actually kinda liked it.

5. Michelle Delamore (Fallin') - Where has this girl been? Why haven't we heard from her? I think she sounded great, and she put a little pizazz into it. I guess this must be the same stuff she's done before, based on what the judges said, but how would the audience know...we haven't heard a peep from her!

4. Lilly Scott (Fixin' a Hole)- That was understated and fabulous. OK, fine, I'm giving her extra credit for the obscure Beatles song, but it was authentic. The silver hair has got to go, though. It's creepy.

3. Siobhan Magnus (Wicked Game) - Pleasant and smooth voice. I'd never heard the song before. She has a good grasp of pitch and dynamics. I wasn't terribly excited but it was good. I like the flower in her hair. :-P

2. Katelyn Epperly (Oh Darling!) - Wasn't expecting that much from her, but I actually really liked it! She seemed comfortable, and I must admit, I looooove this song, and I thought she did it justice. It was hot.

1. Crystal Bowersox (One Hand In My Pocket) - Love her. Gutsy, to start acoustic like that, and to blow the harmonica. For once, I think Randy made sense. I just like her - I don't care what she's singing. I'd really just like to hang out with her, I think. Ha ha...I like her comeback to Simon calling her unoriginal - "They don't allow originals, though".
