Something Positive!
I'm blog crazy! And my happy ass is twittering! Azkatraz has warped my brain! For a few weeks now I have been planning on writing an entry about some of my favorite things about summer and so here it is, in no particular order, except maybe number 1. :)
1.) Harry Potter conventions. Last year it was Terminus, this year Azkatraz, and next year... Infinitus!
2.) The St. Louis PEZ convention... I haven't made it the past couple of years (and my wallet is happy about that), but it definitely is a high point of summer for me, even when I don't get to go. Just knowing its here, makes me happy.
3.) Busting out my favorite flip flops (especially now that I work in a super casual office), Cobian Nias black flipflops. The same ones that got killed at Azkatraz (but I have a backup pair)...
4.) Summer TV (though arguably, this year I haven't caught much of this either) - Big Brother, SYTYCD, True Blood, etc.
5.) Concert Tours - Ozzfest, Warped Tour, etc.
6.) Theme Parks!!!! One of which I will be going to tomorrow!!!!
7.) Farmer's Markets. I don't make it out to Soulard nearly enough.
8.) LONG days. I love that it doesn't get dark until 9pm, and some days, when I wake up, the sun is actually already up! Amazing.
9.) Summer Sales. The shopaholic in me can not resist these things. Crabtree has one. Lucky Brand has one. Yes.
10.) More hours to spend with friends. This may be perception, or it may be reality, but it seems like summer gives me many more precious hours to spend with the ones I love. This is a very good thing.
Now I think I'm off, looks like I'm going to have company at the movie tonight afterall.
