Shortpacked!: Not that Ethan has much fashion sense anyway.*sigh* Spent the past three days staring out the windows by my computer, waiting for a delivery truck to come by. Monday through Wednesday was the given delivery window for Book 2. Now that it has eclipsed, I will have to begin inquiring into things to see where the hell my stuff is! I ( Read more... )

On the contrary, Willis is now obligated to satisfy his fatty-lust by penning a storyline about Robin's rapid descent into morbid obesity.

Why would he continue reading a comic he obviously hates?

Why would be so absurdly, inappropriately abusive to someone he could so very easily just ignore?

Why would set himself up for such easy mockery when he takes himself so seriously?

Why is he so invested in a subject of complete unimportance?

Answer: Attention.

Logic and reason do not apply to attention whores. They will do whatever to be noticed, regardless of whether or not it makes sense.

I really enjoy your strip and I've been reading it faithfully for YEARS....and I do think you're a talented artist, so please don't bite my head off when I say this:

I can see where the guy is coming from.

You DO kinda draw girls kinda fat.

I think it works fine for Amber, and it's nice to see varying body types instead of the usual ridiculous standards of comic book women, but I actually had the same reaction when I saw the Spoiler sketch. I thought, "Wow, she looks a little stumpier and plumper than I remember her in the Robin comics..."

I don't think you're a chubby chaser or anything, but some of the women you draw ARE on the chunky side.

Anyway, keep up the good work!!

I'm not going to dignify that with a response until you add some "fuck"s in there!

(OK, if you mean this strip, I don't know how you could tell, but whatevs.) "Spoiler looks larger in SP! than she does in comics, therefore SP! girls are fat" misses the fact (which you acknowledge!) that women in comics are drawn underweight. The real conclusion to draw is "SP! girls are normal-looking." (Also, I think SP!'s art generally isn't drawn to make anyone look tall and skinny - but that doesn't just apply to the girls, it applies to the guys too.)
