New arts and old Joes

Shortpacked!: And at the end... of the line... was a HOOK!

I've been needing a new Shortpacked! "The Cast" image for a long while, if only because Ultra Car's been around as a major cast member for over a year and Conni hasn't shown up for even longer. I use the original The Cast frequently for promotional and advertising purposes, so once Amber got a new do (and other characters got minor tweaks as well) I figgered I had to bite the bullet and make a new one. Man, it's rough to put a car in there and not have him seem like the focal point.

As an afterthought, I guess it also gives me an excuse to put up a new limited print. (There's just two left of "Opening Night.") As always, it's limited to a small number of copies -- thirty this go-round, same as the original -- and printed on glossy cardstock. Then I sign and number them, and sell them off for $25. If you're interested in one, email me.

I've not had a G.I. Joe display since the move, so today I decided to amend that somewhat. I don't have a lot of space, so I threw up Serpentor versus the Original 10. (Haven't found Clutch yet, and Short-Fuse or a Zap have yet to come out.) Why? Because it's hilarious. Buncha nigh-identical "authentic military circa 1980" green dudes versus a guy in a snake-themed costume riding a snake-themed air chariot. Now there's a matchup.

You know what I hate about G.I. Joes? When you throw them in a big bin and when you get them out you have to dig through and try to remember whose gun goes with which guy. I didn't even bother with Stalker, but I did use YoJoe.com for some of the others. What a pain. I should have planned this out better when I packed them.
