Hello rarely and irregularly updated livejournal world. 2009 was a good year - I did well in my classes, knocked out some research and spent time strengthening my bonds with friends. I changed research topics, moved offices, but happily kept my adviser. I transitioned from mostly going to class to mostly doing research and for the first time grades
