Are you happy now?
So a certain chemistry/biology/whatever-y major has been complaining about my not updating my journal so here we go...
Ed (our landlord) and his son came today to take out the dock. It's so depressing. I didn't get to check out the far side of the lake yet...but apparently there's a public access way down the road I can use. But I don't know if it's worth the effort to tie it up on the roofrack, drive 2 minutes down the road, unload it, go and then come back and do it all over again. I could even walk there, but I'd have to lug the kayak and all the gear...we'll see. I'll check the place out first. I hope I can do it before it gets much colder. It's gorgeous today, but a little to windy.
His son is REALLY cute. I think he's slightly on the young side, though.
I made some really good muffins today. It was supposed to be banana nut bread, but I didn't have any nuts (shut up Jeff) nor did I have the right sized pan. So I had to downgrade. They baked faster, though. And the boy approved. Yay! I LOVE cooking here. Counter space is rather scarce, but it's so much fun. I'm making shrimp scampi with Ashley tonight. Can't wait! Wish you were here...oh well. More for me!
As far as the whole Peacecorps/Americorps/whatevercorps thing...yeah. Haven't done anything yet. Working on that. Kinda. Not really. We'll see.
