Okay, it's been a little while...just awhile.
I'm pretty much settled into the little blue cottage by the lake now. I LOVE having the dock!! I've made a habit of starting the day with some time on the dock to just chill and hang out with the ducks. This morning I was eating my breakfast on the picnic table and heard the people a few doors down start up their seaplane!! I got to watch it take off, it was so cool! And there was this loon almost directly in front of the house, too. I love this lake. It's still big enough to watch people windsurfing and sailing and stuff, but small enough so I don't feel lost on it, you know? The house itself is working out really well. The shower doesn't get quite hot enough sometimes which will be interesting during the winter, but otherwise it's just right. I had some friends over today for a small cook-out and it went really well. I love this house. The best part: I can cook!! Ashley has dubbed me "Betty Crocker". I'm so happy about it. I'll be able to make my own lunches! With leftovers from dinner the night before! I'm WAY too excited about this. So yeah, I'm going to try and be a little better about updating this thing. More later on my job as camp counselor!! Stay tuned...
