Natural Therapy (A Day in the Backyard)

She rests
caught in a dream
amongst towering blades of grass
Wisps of golden brown
frame her tired face
But her eyes smile
reflecting light from the sun
Calm filling her body
covering the aches that so often
intertwine with her bones
Her mind begins to wander as
fingers lightly grasp
at the dirt beneath her
Breathing words
that float away with the breeze
But will never carry themselves
to settle on the stone
where he sits.

For it is somewhere across the ocean
and somewhere in the mighty sky.
But are these words, so choked
so potential
so absolutely beautiful
Only meant for the breeze that disregards them?

I think the first part could have been organized a lot better, and some of the wording I didn't love so much. The second part, though... I'm in love with it. I guess because it's so close to me, especially now, when it's been the most constant ( and not to mention... never mind) thought in my mind.

Anyway, I'm going back outside. :)
