Not really, actually, but I have been very consistent with my entries up until... well, now. Ok. I don't remember where I left off, so... Yay for Thursdays when the hot black kid pees in my bathroom in nothing but his boxers... Double yay for late-night chats with Annie about her self-hypnosis, God, Homestar Runner, and her immitating the Disney princesses as a daily routine in her youth... Triple yay for the ferret that lives down the hall from us (ssh! it's a secret)... Yay for my new friend Kate who joined chorale with me and enjoys shooting pigeons off a "skeet"... Thumbs up for being taken to Hooters for my first time after a bunch of us did the Breast Cancer walk... 2 Thumbs up for Amanda who was so cool enough to come with me!... And "Shweeeet"(compliments to Annie) for the random power outages that inflict our entire campus, canceling class, Internet, and hot showers. Poor Tiffany was caught in the middle of showering during the first power outage... complete blackout while she tried to finish it. During the second one, she was lucky enough to be caught on the toilet taking a poop in, once again, total darkness. And woohoo for me, who was caught on the stairs trying to get up to my room and had to continue to feel my way in, you guessed it, pitch black. I am truly sorry for the poor random girl who was caught going down the stairs in the blackout and fell :-( Not comfortable, I'm sure. And, Oh the joys of having to recharge your phone and reset your clock and alarm twice a day.
Tiffany decided to stay (if I didn't say so before, she'd been planning to totally not return). But her parents forced her, and now she's stuck with me trying to make her happy lol. As long as I continue to do my impersonations for her, I think we'll be good. She likes those lol. I've been told I should be an impersonator, a shrink, and a philosopher. Hm... impersonators hurt people's feelings, shrinks go insane trying to deal with the problems of others and I don't have that kind of stamina, and philosophers often spend their entire lives trying to come up with a meaning for life and then die before ever having decided on one. That sucks. Nah, I think I like writing, thanks!
Of course, of all the nights I had to get to bed early so I could get up at 6 in the morning and do the Cancer walk, someone is actually having a party in quiet ole Saunders Hall at Keuka College lol. It was TERRIBLY LOUD. I could not sleeeepp!!! Girls running up and down the hallway, one of them at least, I'm sure, was drunk, screaming "I'm Xena, Warrior Princess!" and adding to it by doing the war cry. In the bathroom girls and guys were making sexual noises at the tops of their lungs. I don't think I've ever been so afraid of human beings before in my life lol. I was too afraid to go in and pee. So I had to drown out the noise by covering my head with the pillow... except I still distinctly remember hearing a male voice screaming, "THERE ARE 2 PENISES AND 2 VAGINA IN THE BATHROOM!!!!" Thank you for that local news briefing, I don't ever wanna know it again lol.
We celebrated Keuka's eldest student's birthday in our history class... Margorie Corwin, ninety-freakin'-five years-old!! She's the cutest little old lady, I love her to death. I hope I still have that kind of thirst for knowledge when I'm that old... I just hope I live that long lol. Gotta cut back on the cheese...
Speaking of cheese, Steve, I'm sorry but I had to devour your cheese all within 24 hours of getting it here! You see, we had a massive power outage and no one knew when it would be back, so I just couldn't let the best thing in the whole world go bad... But Tiff and I enjoyed it over crackers, so that worked out well, thanks!! (Can't say as much for my trip to the toilet afterward...)
It's come that time to prepare for my first Field Period. I hope I can get one just locally this year, and after that I'll be branching out to new and better things. I might even do one in the summer so I can have a long Christmas break one of these years! Be fun. Well, gotta use the facilities. I heart you all and can't wait for next weekend!!!
