Stacey sign-ups closed
Thanks to everyone who signed up for the Stacey round--we had our bigggest turnout ever, with 13 people signing up to write. It also had more variety in pairing, rating, and timeline requests than we've ever had before, so figuring out the assignments was a nice little puzzle for me to put together. I tried to give as many people their first choices as possible, but it didn't always work out exactly that way. I promise I did my best to get as close as possible, though.
That said, if anyone is terribly uncomfortable with their assignment, please let me know (via email, at writingthis at gmail dot com). Of course, part of the fun of this challenge is trying something new and stretching our writing, but if you got a request that you truly don't think you can fulfill, be honest with me. I can't guarantee you a new assignment once they've all been sent out, but if you're truly uncomfortable with your assignment, I may take on your assignment on top of my own so that you don't have to write anything that you don't feel you can. I really did my best to match people up, though, so hopefully it won't come to that!
Thanks again for everyone's excitement and participation, and don't forget that your story of 500 words or more will be due no later than Sunday, July 20th, but feel free to post them sooner if you finish early. I can't wait to see how these stories all turn out!
Assignments have now been sent out. Also, I apologize for my copy/paste fail! Your emails say "Thanks for signing up for the Kristy round" and have the wrong deadline on them, but that was just a snafu on my part. This is definitely a Stacey round due on July 20th, so please ignore that little mistake! (And hopefully this will serve as a reminder to me not to do administrative tasks when I'm half asleep, too. =P )
