Okay, okay...so I was trying to hold off on the update until I heard from CCU about the Solid Rock program and my audition...but some people just get too pushy, which is okay because I forget to update and I haven't updated for almost a century now. So here's the update.
1. I still haven't heard from Solid Rock. I don't know what they thought of my audition tape. I thought it was horrible, but I gave it my all. Now it's just out of my hands and in to God's. The bulletin said that I would hear back from them by March 22, but as you can tell that was a couple days ago. So who knows when I'll hear from them, if I don't hear from them by this Friday I think I'm gonna call them, but I'll update you when I hear some kind of news.
(Ye Beware: Tis' Long)
2. Last Saturday Dad, mom, and I drove east to Cincinnati to go to early registration day at Cincinnati Christian University/CBC. We've been to Cincinnati like 10 times and every time we go we get lost. Luckily this time it was only for 40 minutes, then dad found the police station (random) and he was like "hey, lets go in and ask for directions." When the real problem was that we had the right directions, mom just read them wrong and told dad to get off the interstate on the wrong exit.
Anyway...so we get the college around 8:45 or so. I saw two people that work at the college that I had met before and that made me feel more comfortable. Get my folder that is jam packed with information and then they split all the kids and parents up. I was such a girlie girl about it. I was like "I wanna stay with my daddy." But I sucked it up like the tough man I am. And I always find in situations like this where you don't know anyone, that's it's good to introduce yourself. (side note: I always make little friends like this when I'm in a place that I'm not so familiar with. When I went to Taylor University for my campus visit my friend's name was Luke, he was really sweet. Isn't it funny that I remember these people's names. I probably won't ever see them again, but they help when you're nervous. Just someone to talk to.) So I sat down next to this girl, her name was Elizabeth. The first thing she said, "I'm so nervous." Well...good that we were on the same page...see, it already made me feel better. Plus I like to see people smile, it makes me less nervous, so I was glad she smiled back at me after I introduced myself. (***mental note to self: Lindsey! what are you doing, the people that read your journal don't care about your friend Elizabeth. stop rambling!!!)
So after I got some papers filled out I was moved to a different room with 4 other girls whose majors were in education/child care, handed a sheet of paper with all the courses I would need for my BS in Professional Child Care Education and Development, and told to make out my schedule. I was so lost at first, but after awhile I got the hang of it.
So here's my official (unless I receive a 3 on the ap english language test [which is very doubtful] and get credit for it) schedule for the Fall of 2006 at CCU:

It's 16 credit hours. So not too bad. Emily Wuest has already told me what professors she likes. And she told me to never talk in Pressley's class. So I'm really lucky to have her, Josh, and Tyana already know what the college is like. I'm really stoked. Like you can't compare how excited I am to anything. I'm just ready for these last 38 days of school to get by and graduate. I wanna have a great, relaxing, money-making summer and then get outta here.
3. Spring break starts after this Friday. yey!! I leave for Niagra Falls next Sunday (April 2) morning. I'll be there until the following Thursday. I should be back home Thursday night. I'm gonna try my best to make the most of it even though I don't wanna go. Dad said the view from our hotel is great, so hopefully it will be relaxing. We tend to get into fights after the first day with just each other. Last summer when we went to the Grand Canyon for 9 days and we drove, Kate and I got into too many fights and Kate and Megan got into too many fights too. So pray for me.
Well...I should probably get busy on my research paper that I've been stalling on for 3 hours. It has to be 5-8 pages, due Friday. I'll update before I leave next Sunday. Everyone have a great week!! Love you all!!! ***HUGS AND KISSES FOR EVERYONE***
