shimmy shimmy quarter turn...except i can't stop turning

i have to get out some short thoughts. my week has gotten off on the wrong foot too many disappointments to name. including spring break. in which i am being forced to go to Niagra Falls, and i want to stay here and work a 40 hour week. anyway...i've just had a rough start.

last night i had some extra time to myself so i decided to start reading A Lady in Waiting. i'm excited. i think what i'm going to do is read like a chapter a week or something. anyway, i already read chapter one and i like it. i'll keep you updated, if you're lucky.

tonight was a rough, depressing, and sour mood night too. so i started to read The Ragamuffin Gospel. laura said she thought it'd be too tough for me to read two spiritual books at once, but i just like reading. and i can read The Raggamuffin Gospel when i'm not reading the other one. kind of like reading for fun...but obviously it's spiritual too. anyway...i just wanted to share something from this book tonight. the author, Brennan Manning, quotes Morton Kelsey. "The church is not a museum for saints but a hospital for sinners." i really like that quote. because it's so true. there are so many churches that pass judgment on people all the time, and so many people, if walked into the church, wouldn't be accepted there. but why do we push people away. they are the same as us. we're all sinners. no one is better than anyone in the church. it's a healing place for all of us. people in fellowship, who sin before they are baptized and after they are baptized, being encouraged by and learning about the one who restores us everyday, by others who attend the church.

before i go i'll give you two things that make me happy about this week. just so you know that even though my week isn't going my way, there is something that has already made me happy, and there is something to look forward too.

1. amanda agard introduced me to the band HelloGoodbye. i didn't realize how popular they were. but i love them. their song "dear jamie...sincerely me" has been stuck in my head all day.
2. i get to babysit the fab four on Saturday. that's right, the Bowen kids. i love all four of them so incredibly much. i'm so excited to get to babysit them again. but i still have to think of something fun to do with them. if anyone has any ideas, let me know.

well...i hope everyone has been having and will have a great week...or at least better than mine has been. everyone smile for me, because i seem to have lost mine. love y'all.
