I know, it's really all kinds of awesome and adorable, no? I read somewhere that in an interview the actor said it was because he'd done some research and training with blind people and realised that this way would be easiest for a blind person and a non-blind person to walk through a building together? so as not to run into each other?

haha, that means either Jai should start doing it when walking next to Auggie or at some point Auggie is going to run right into him ♥

That makes sense! And I love that Chris Gorham actually went to all that trouble and both remembers & uses it. He's pretty awesome.
(And perfectly willing to answer awesome questions about episodes. like did you see that the braille in Auggie's apartment says love? totally sweet.)

oh oh- he is. and you could just see it. auggie'll be all 'what the hell? blind person here' and jai'll be all 'totally wasn't my fault' and it'll end up either in them never walking near each other ever again, or in linking arm adorableness.

Yeah, I think it's lovely and I did hear about the braille art and I think that is really great too ♥ I love what they're doing to his character. I even thought about making Auggie #1 on this little picspam but then I figured I could just let him fall under the character thing and the eye candy because weell... yes. hmm. eye candy~

That is soo what would happen. I loved Auggie's rant with the "A blind person works here!", that was fantastic and I think he'd use the same tone of voice on Jai, y/y?

I just love knowing all the tiny small details that they use to make up their characters~ and esp. ones about Auggie. And oh- for a womaniser 'love' is a bit of an odd thing to have on a wall. I wonder if there's a story behind it? One that doesn't relate to our russian ex. Maybe that is the story? /is terribly curious.

I know, me too~ I'd love to know what kind of story there is behind it.. on the other hand, the way Natasha described Auggie as buttoned-up and predictable and how he wanted kids and a family and stability and she didn't and that's kind of why they broke up maybe deep down he wants that still? Then it would kind of make sense, y/y?

No it's probably never going to happen on the show but just think how awesome it would be and hey, that's what we've got our imagination for, right?

I think he definitely does want that- although probably buried deep down right now? Auggie just doesn't seem like he could pull off the bachelor lifestyle for long. Despite his comfort level with himself, I think things like that- and active missions- definitely lead you to believe that he wants more than what he's got. shit. stop talking to me about this. earlier i wanted linking-arm fic and now i want sappy domestic fic. you're ruining me for life~

I agree though.. actually, it might even be the fact that he's not allowed in the field anymore that has made Auggie turn up the womanising a notch? He seems like the kind of guy who'd need a lot of contact with people, I guess? But yeah I think that no matter what, eventually he will still/again want to settle down and have 2.5 kids and a white picket fence? And y'know I love that he's that kind of guy, at least in my head.

... Oh man, I wish I hadn't any real life stuff coming up so that I could just write write write that'd be amazing

It would make sense. He can't bring anyone in permanently because he's not where he wants to be and isn't comfortable with that entirely- but yeah- still needs that contact with people because he's adorable.
He's totally that kind of guy for me too. XD
