I know I promised angst, and it is forthcoming, I promise! (Probably later today) And just FYI it will be a friends only entry. I know. You're on the edge of your seats.
It has been a great run of movies for me recently. I've seen Chicken Little, which is, despite all reviews to the contrary, fantastic. I didn't know what to expect going into it, but it is fantastic. Funny, moving, original, great music, great characters. It's a total must see. It's of the Monsters Inc. ilk. Erin and I went to see it after particularly taxing weeks at work, and we found outselves laughing harder than the kids. And Chicken Little at one point says "oh snaps" which is something my friend Teresa says a lot, but she's the only one I've ever heard saying it, so I laughed my ass off. And later, Chicken Little's dad says it, and it's equally funny.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire? AWE. SOME. Awesome. Very much fun. My sister and I went to the midnight showing on the IMAX screen, something that I regretted BIG TIME the next day, but it was very very cool. Like any movie that's made from a book that you love you'll pick it apart, but a very satisfying movie experience.
And now, the count down to RENT begins. I cannot wait. I'm trying to figure out if there are midnight showings anywhere. Yay.
