Afternoon lesson today got canceled. I took the chance to practically sprint home and rest my dying body. The bus was jampacked with these primary school kids and it smelt of stale sweat and toilet (don't get me started on the public transport system). There was a fat kid who sat alone on one of the 'privilege' seats (those which face a pair of seats, at the front of the bus), with his bag placed on the seat next to him. The rest of the bus was pretty crowded and across the aisle there was a group of kids - 2 girls, 2 boys who were having a conversation. Halfway through the journey, their friend, this other boy ran up to join their conversation and they started talking loudly about the other boy in a way that seemed as if this happened everyday.
The girl challenged the third boy to pull his bag onto to the floor to 'teach him how to think about others'. They complained about how his bag was taking up an entire seat. This whole time, the boy was just pretending not to hear anything. The third boy then sat on his bag, but the boy continued feigning ignorance. After a while, the group of kids had it so the boy got up from sitting on the bag and dragged it onto the floor. This was after the girls actually tried talking to him across the aisle to tell him to keep his bag to himself and free up the seat (he ignored them).
He then started shouting at them in this exasperated way, like a bullied child. He pulled his bag back up onto the chair but left it on the extra seat. The other boys pulled it down again.
And then at this point I would liked to have continued watching but it was my stop so I got off the bus.
That kid is so going to grow up to be a societal nuisance. And I'm pretty sure he's probably miserable and friendless in school. I don't get why people can be so daft. He probably feels bullied but to be absolutely honest, I hardly felt any sympathy for him. Maybe I'm an asshole. I don't know.
In other news, I've got a new toy, loaned from Reloop to practise for the gig 2 weeks from now. Updates in a bit, maybe with a new mix. Stay tuned (and stay in tune).
