(no subject)
things have gotten better since Wednesday, which was all around just a pathetic day.
Hmm...
Friday afternoon was a great way to kick off the weekend. Katie and Landon and I headed to Loew's to catch (by some miracle) The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, which was a lot of fun. Afterwards, we had some time to kill before dropping me off at 7:00, so we went to Coldstone Creamery. When dropping me off, my dad, just back from Switzerland, invited katie and landon in and we ordered mario's pizza and salad, and hung out. katie got back probably close to 9:30, which was planned on, so fine. this is ap week coming up, after all.
Saturday was great. In the morning I finished (mostly to my satisfaction) the huge painting i've been working on for 4 weeks. in the afternoon I had a bit of runaround, sending back all 10 college forms saying "i'm not coming" (I sent out the actual decision letter "i'm coming, please don't give me a roommate who is evil" form to yale on thursday). saturday night, katie came for dinner, and we went out to our first swing dancing class. Katie called the majority of the crowd being 40+, but i did predict the 1 college couple. still, the class was really fun, and the teacher impressed me both as being a good dancer but also a good teacher. after class we came back to my house, and, in a first, my parents actually eased up and just went to bed basically with teh message "make sure she's home at some point not too late." The fact that neither one actually woke up again to check that she was gone by some sensible time was a pleasant surprise.
today is ap math study day (plus working out in the morning, ow, my triceps). The math studying really shouldn't be too bad.
