Had it not been for the 40mph winds today kicking around the most horrid allergens, I'd have had my windows WIDE open while I started cleaning. (as it is, with the windows closed I had to suck on my inhailer twice today) It's spring cleaning time! I'm tired of the house looking like this! I have had no motivation since coming back from New Zealand (thanks depression!) and I'm done!
Started in the bedroom. Yay!!! I can now find all my shoes! No longer are they one large tangled pile of shoes! Hooray!!! Decided to bring my shoe racks out of the closet and put them along the wall under the window. That way they are quick for me to get to, and my lazy ass has no excuse not to put my shoes back where they belong! *lol* Plus, it keeps me from letting random things pile up. ;) And shoes...umm, yeah....evidently I have well over 150 pairs...*blush* And that is NOT counting flip-flops. Heh. Good thing I keep my purses in another room so I don't have to face that reality at the same time, too! *lol*
I know I'm not going to be 100% done with the bedroom today, so I'll finish it up tomorrow before my hair appointment. Then, I'll move onto the hall closets and the cabinet under the sink in the bathroom. Pattern of attack...I has it! Then the dining room and the living room...however, I do believe I have killed the vaacuum cleaner :( It's -kinda- working...it's making a horrible noise like a dying animal any time I run it, and I do think it's spitting out as much dust as it is sucking up....hubby's not gonna like having to shell out the cash for a new one :( Oh, well....not gonna tell him tonight though, he's all ready not in the gratest of moods thanks to issues with a web site he helps maintain. Blah.
I never realized just how much Chopper's hair traveled throughout the house...I found hair in places that he wasn't even allowed into! *lol* Seems as though I could almost build a new Chopper-Dog out of the fur left behind ;) Aah, if only....
I can't wait for the 16th, I'll be buying the wood for my work station out in the sunroom. I need more than the little table I have out there currently. (which was only meant to be used for my lampwork, and now it's almost too small for that even!) I need more work space. The one hubby and I are going to build is going to be two benches (for ease of moving) totaling 8' in length. Approximately 32" deep, with shelves/cubbies under in strategic places, and then, we'll build an 8" deep set of top shelves, kinda like a book case top, so that there is still a 24" deep work surface, and I'll have the ability to go verticle in some of my storage, etc. It'll really help with my rotary tooling...no fighting the cord anymore, I can hang the body and just use my neck as I need to for the tool. Yay! Ooh, and a nock for my jewler's saw! It's gonna be awesome! Right now I'm having to do all of that on my poor little table, so I have to keep rotating what I have out on it...annoying! But soooooonnn!!!! YAYAYAYAY!!!
Ok, back to work on the bedroom. Being able to get to the bed is a good thing ;)
