One of the higher end fabric stores is going out of business, and I decided to hit them up on Tuesday. Glad I did! Their stuff is generally so grossly priced that I have literally only ever been in there one time before with C. Let's just put it this way...one of the 100% wools I got was listed at $110 a YARD! No kidding. Yeah, take 90% off of that, and then another 5% for using cash, and woohoo!
I have plans for a few of these things, but nothing immediate by any means.
This is a picture of all my 100% linens. the top one is an orange-y coral colour, the next down is a light lavender, then a woven print that is VERY perfect for a viking dress or something to that affect. Then to the right is a blue plaid kinda one then a yellow and orange...those will be used for mundane tops more than likely. And finally, the bottom left is a VERY pretty pink. It's not nearly as fuschia as it looks in this photo
this is my black silk velvet with gold designs in the fiber. It's Beautimus!
These are my silks, all 3 dupioni silks. Black with metallic gold polka dots, black with gold striping, and a two tone (my brain totally just tanked on what it's called) dupioni that is yellow and blue so it has a REALLY neat greenish/blue/gold hue.
This is a 70% wool, 30% silk blend
These are my 100% wools. The one on top is an olive-y gray sort-of colour, and OMG SOFT!!! The Purple one (yes, that is purple...but for some reason looks like a gorgeous indigo in pics!) is a brilliant shade of purple in a soft linen weave. YAY!
This is a gold bullion trim that has a nice patina-look to it, so is shades of gold. Pretty! I scooped up ALL of this!
Peacock and phesant feather trims. Always wanted to play with them, and at this price, I couldn't afford to pass it up!
a gold-ish lace trim that struck me as quite perfect for a rose cloak or something equally as feminine...
Awesome gold bullion trim. Scooped all of this up as well. It'll be a pain to sew onto anything, but I know it'll be SO worth it!
And finally, my favourite!! Silver bullion trim on black velvet. Also, bought all they had.
