(no subject)
I am happy to report that this year's birthday was relatively curse-free!! Even though, onewhoknows did wish me a "Happy Curse Day"! Because, well... She would be one of the peeps who has had to suffer due to my birthday, being normally cursed! Heh.
All in all it was a very good birthday! And thank you to everyone who sent me emails, ecards, text messages, called and left me messages on MySpace. It's one of the times of the year where I'm reminded of how lucky I am, to have so many of you amazing people in my life!
Either way... I took Friday off work, so James came and picked me up Thursday night and we went to meet up with the softball peeps. It was kind of funny because SO many people were like, "It's your birthday again already?!". It's just funny because last year, a TON of us ended up at Elmer's after softball on my birthday, and pretty much everyone got HAMMERED. Good times, good times... Either way, Jon gave me a book for my birthday, that I have actually really been wanting to read! "Marley & Me: Life and Love with the World's Worst Dog". He said he saw the the sub-title on it, and thought of Oliver and thought it was appropriate. I think he might be right!
Yeah, so on Friday, after I slept in a bit and then spent over an hour on the phone with the cable company trying to get our cable sorted out (um, we are in apartment 2203, not 2003! If you're going to shut someone's cable off, at least shut off the right person's cable so that WE don't have to suffer! Bastards), I packed up and headed out for Joe's. And when I got to Joe's, I got presents! Ohhhh... I love presents, so this was good!
First off, as a cute kind of joke thing, he got me a Chipper Jones watch! He found it on Ebay, and I was cracking up laughing as soon as I saw it. I love it! And of course, because I have MAD love for Chipper, you know I'll wear that damn thing. Hellz jeah.
But, my other present... My other present was SOOOOO good!! A present that I think mudlove might be a wee bit jealous of, actually! My super awesome boyfriend gave me an autographed Vinny Lecavalier hockey stick!!! It is SO awesome!! I love the Bolts and I love Vinny and well, yeah. He did REALLY good!
OH! And it didn't make it in time for me to get it this weekend, but he also found me a Barbadian flag! Which, to be honest, might actually be my favorite present because it means SO much to me that he would think of something like that (for those of you who don't know, my mother was born and raised in Barbados). Awwwwww!!!
So, yes. It was a good birthday! Pretty quiet, but I got to spend it with my super awesome boyfriend, and of course he was super awesome and totally spoiled me all weekend, and that made the whole birthday SUPER AWESOME!!
AND!! I *just* got an email from my mommy, and they DID order me my new softball glove for my birthday! She said it'll be here by tomorrow or Wednesday! YAY!!!!
