I can already tell that this year is going to be a much better birthday than say... The Great Radiohead Rainout!
I got to work this morning, and found that Sandy and Jeannine had decorated my desk with a big "Happy Birthday" banner (which is actually kind of in my line of vision in front of my monitor), and sparkly, glittery, birthday type decorations and such. Nothing on my desk was safe, as even my little Kazmir figurine, has glittery stuff hanging off of him! It was VERY sweet of them to do, especially since I've only been here for 3 months, so it's not like I've known everyone in the office for all that long. I'm actually flattered that they remembered to do it today, since I took tomorrow off for my actual birthday.
Then they all took me to lunch, and of course Sandy made them sing Happy Birthday to me (Grrrrr!! I always feel SO silly when they do that!). And it was cool because a lot of people that I wasn't even expecting to be there, showed up for lunch. So that was nice!
Then we get back to the office and I find a dozen long stemmed roses sitting on my desk, from My Joe! He is sooooooooo sweet!! I don't know that I've ever gotten roses from a guy before, for my birthday or otherwise! He wins a whole lot of points for that one. ;)
So, yeah... So far, this year is looking like it might be a pretty good birthday year. YAY!! :)
