that's why Fido is so inexpensive..
So I got my new phone yesterday, and I tried to activate it online. I was informed that my numbers were wrong. So I called the people at Fido and was informed that my phone is already activated. Who knew they sent it out activated and then put about 5 pieces of paper in your box telling you how to activate it. Anyway, so my phone is ready for use. One problem. I'm about 100km outside of a coverage area. Wahoo, no new phone until next week when I get to Cambridge. That bugs me that I have this wicked new phone and I can't use it. Phooey.
I got to talk to Zara the other day! That made me happy cause I never get to talk to her, and we had a good, old fasioned talk, and yet again we said we have to talk more. I hope we do.
So I've been trying to make things better between Jenn and her mom. I know it's not really my place, but I'm close with both of them, and can have heart to heart talks with both of them so I figure why not give it a shot because it's something that is bugging both of them, and I hate to see them not getting along. So I've been emailing Jenn's mom trying to get her to open her mind to some new thoughts. I can see progress, but it's not really much. I've been talking to Jenn too but it's really hard to get progress from either of them on this because they both have this tunnel vision when it come to some things. They both have a way of believing that the other person is one way, and no matter how you aproach anything with them, its useless. So it's hard to get them to try new ways to approach things because they both think that no matter what the outcome will be the same reaction as last time they tried. I'm trying to be a little bit manipulative in trying to hit some soft spots and get them to open up a little and not react the same way to things as well. Already things are starting to get better though, I can tell. So I don't know if I should keep trying to work things out between them, or just do as they've always done and wait it out. Maybe Jenn not living there will give them the space and time they need. We'll see.
I'm still looking for a job, people! I've got a resume ready and I plan to hand it out as soon as I get to Toronto. Hopefully it won't be that difficult to find something. I have a few leads right now, but I haven't heard back...so I don't know what's going on with those. (Leah?) (Mel?)
My dad gave me $300 in Sears gift cards! So now I can go shopping baby! Yeah, that's right, I'm heading the section I've never ventured to before...the housewaress. Eeek!
