Yesterday was such a great day. Jenn came and picked me up Saturday night and we drove to my mom's house where we spent the night. My mom made me feel a lot better about the money situation because I was worried that I would have to sacrifice hockey this year, and not play, which all of you know is very very sad and difficult for me to do. So no more sacrificing hockey and I still get some new equipment that I need cause I'm pushing it by not being dead already with the shape my stuff is in. Cracked helmet, pants missing plastic guards, skate blades coming out...yeah. Time for some new stuff.
Anyways.
Jenn and I woke up early on Sunday morning and packed up most of my stuff that I'm taking from my mom's. We got the futon, microwave, bike, sweet motherfuckin toaster, stereo and I think that's it. I'm not bringin much. Just my clothes and cd's have to come now. So after we loaded the van up, we headed to my mom's restaurant for a good breakfast then off to Burlington. We pawned off some stuff, went to Ikea (my first time!) we got a computer desk, storage shelves, kick ass blue shelf lining, cutlery holder thing, slippers that Jenn won't ever wear, 2 mats, a shower curtain, and something else I can't remember. All for $112 bucks! Wahoo! It ended up not costing us any real money cause it was all from stuff we pawned off. We sold and old bike, old game systems and a vcr. I'm still trying to get rid of my mp3 cd player, computer monitor, computer desk, tv and broken printer that's main purpose is to piss people off. Right. Yeah so then we loaded up more stuff from Jenn's place, headed to Toronto and started bringing it all into our new place. We put everything together and set up all the stuff we had. It looks so great, and I'm so happy with it. It's great inside, the location is amazing, it's not that expensive, what more could I ask for? Oh, and the landlord is the sweetest thing ever! He left us a bottle of wine (which I don't drink, but anyway) and it's Jenn's favourite kind! It was nuts, he is also bringing us fresh organic vegetables from his garden. He is such a nice guy. So we set everything up, Erika came over, we got pizza, then it was time to go. 9pm and we still had to go to Burlingto to switch vehicles then to Kincardine. AND THEN Jenn had to drive all the way back to work this morning, leaving at 6:30. And that was getting her there an hour late. Not much sleep for us, lol. I had to work at 7am as well. I'm surprised how much I've written for being so tired. I think I'm just tyring to keep myself awake so I can watch Days in a half hour.
Yeah so yay new apartment! 12 more days! 10 more days in Kincardine! 9 more shifts at Sobeys! EEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeEEEkk!
Maggie, it's crazy that you remembered what day Jenn's birthday was, when I didn't even know. haha.
Okay I'm hungry, I think. I'm something. I'm going to go figure it out.
Toodles!
