Last weekend...

was jampacked with activities; not the stressful kind, thankfully. :)

Friday night, the hubby and I watched The Happening and The Simpsons (movie). You've got to watch something light after seeing something graphically disturbing (but, sadly, the Happening's plot was a letdown, unlike The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable, which I believe are still M. Night's best films. But I digress...).

Saturday, we decided to drive around and visit Fully Booked at the Fort. [Almost got a ticket for entering the yellow lane prematurely--which is another story for another time.] It was the first time I've been to the mother of all FB stores and it pleasantly reminded me of Borders in Singapore. Browsed some but didn't really find anything interesting. Is this really me talking? Perhaps my self-control is stronger now. :) I'm sticking to my no-new-books-until-I've-read-3-or-5 rule. Incidentally, I'm on my second book--a collection of fairy tales by Hans Christian Andersen and the Brothers Grimm. But these tales aren't really child-friendly. They depict acts of voilence: decapitation, torture, and other mean deeds carried out over reasons so trivial. Yet, again, I digress.

And so we went around the Fort/Market Market. I purchased a pair of strappy heels that I chanced upon on sale at Charles and Keith to wear at my cousin's wedding, bought a mint cupcake from Sonja's, and then headed home. But the night wasn't over just yet! We went to Mogwai for a couple of beers. Bumped into Eggy and Ianco and we found ourselves engaged in an intellectual discussion about the future of radio, music, and movies. I love stimulating conversations. :)

Sunday, we went to the mall as we didn't want to stay home considering the gloomy weather. I worked on a sideproject at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf with a Chai Tea latte for company, while the hubby went store-hopping. After a couple of hours, we decided to go home and watch The Pursuit of Happynesss and Knocked Up. Yey, we got to watch four movies over the weekend. A hundred more to go! Haha! ;P

fun, movies
