Empires! at the Metro
I amuse myself, okay?
Sorry the phone post was apparently so crap, but I tried! And oh man, the "we" in question in this post is myself, strobelighted, etben, pre_emptive, narceus, tygrestick, rain206, shrift and provetheworst. Chicago is the best.
If youtube was working right now, I'd be uploading the video of whatever song they were playing when Ryan J. decided that the thing to do was jump up on his own drum set before falling sideways and taking one of the uh...snares? down with him. He got back to his feet and was all \o/ I adore the shit out of him now.
Uh, Alfred, the hot bassist IS INDEED HOT. ahgifdagkda. Max looks like etben's little brother. Which is very disconcerting for her. Sean smiled at me for singing along during Midnight Land :DDDDDDDDD or okay, me, etben and strobelighted BUT TOTALLY ME. And Tom was all earnest in his thanking of the crowd.
We really were going to hang around to watch other bands, but that was when I thought the show started at eight. oh well. Half of us went to get food, some people were actually unlame and stuck around.
We did stop at the merch room because I can't find my Empires shirt. Yes, I lost it in my studio. Tom was very o_O at that and part of me was all "AT LEAST I WEAR SHOES IN THE WINTER." but we did agree that I should just never do laundry again. And I bought a new shirt. This one has stripes. And maybe grabbed eleven of the free cds they were giving out and Tom made me promise to give them away. So! People who I might see while I'm in Jersey? I HAVE PARTY FAVORS.
We hung around a while longer just talking to ourselves and Ryan J. came by and we applauded his gracefulness and told him we expected such stunts at all future shows. He thought it'd be pretty cool, too. He signed our cd things Ryan Falling Drummer And then a friend of the band was "RYAN NEEDS A PICTURE WITH ALL OF HIS WOMEN." So we Blue Steeled for the camera. I have no idea what is going to happen with that picture. I hope it ends up on myspace.
Uhhh yeah. that's it for words. Go look at pictures.

COMPLETELY UNRELATED TO THE REST OF THE POST: Is 041 a US areacode? because apparently I missed a call from a number that started with that. Honestly, it reminds me of an Australian number but it didn't have the country code like when shihadchick texts me from New Zealand. I was confused. ETA: Nevermind! notyourfriend you are my favorite spaz. I would've been SO VERY CONFUSED if I had heard the phone and probably completely unable to understand your accent at that hour.
