Annoyance
Being a Christian myself (although admittedly one who is so far from perfect it's really disappointing), I find myself continually perturbed when I see people who make it their life's effort to research, philosophize, and otherwise re-interperet the Bible to suit their own whims and live their lives in a way which pleases themselves rather than God (and furthermore spend even more time in self-justification).
I'm all for gathering a deeper understanding, and the progress of knowledge - but at some point there has to be a boundary between what is truth and what we want to be truth.
For those of you who are non-Christians, and perhaps have your own set of beliefs, I wonder if you too ever feel like that about people who misrepresent your belief system while claiming to be a part of it?
