Yankees game & work

Sep 20, 2005 00:03

I went to see my first Yankees game this evening with a bunch of people from my church. It was a lot of fun. It was a very close game and the Yankees ended up winning in the end (with a homerun), so it was a very exciting end.

In other news, I got my social security card in the mail today. Unlike all the horror stories I've heard from almost everyone, I got my card quite quickly. In fact, it arrived a day before it was supposed to.

Work has been going really well. It was very overwhelming at first, trying to learn all the financial concepts and acronyms, as well as using C# for the first time. It's been very fast-paced. My team has been releasing new versions of our application once or even twice a week. Here's a link to a picture of my work area. It feels a lot like a fancy computer lab. Everyone has at least two flat-screen monitors and some people have up to 4! Here's a look at the row of monitors beside my area.
