I've been taking driving lessons from my mom, but we've gotten enough money to pay for four hours from an actual instructor.

First two today.

It was...well, I feel a bit less anxious now that I've been on actual roads and not killed anything?

I only woke up a little while ago, and it's calm right now. I peeked out the door, and there doesn't seem to be any significant damage on my street. We haven't suffered anything but leaks and a damp basement.

But I'm pretty sure this is the eye of the storm?

I just experienced my first earthquake. Holy shit. It was nothing major, just a tremor, but...I live in Jersey. For me, that is an event.

I also experienced my first driving lesson! Fortunately not at the same time. I did pretty well, discounting almost pitching us through the windshield the first time I stepped on the brake.
