Thought Experiment - TRIGGER warning
I belong to this private FaceBook group called "Jewish-Dads" that was created partially in response to a rape-murder of a child in NYC this past summer. [want to join? just ask]. It's actually mostly just guys schmoozing and talking about parenting, marriage and related "stuff".
So the other day someone posted a VERY strong PSA that "demonstrates the unbearable trauma, sexual abused children suffer from.". 3 days later, I'm still "responding" to this 100 second clip. It was horrific (indirectly graphic). My comment was that while it was very well done, I think that "normals" will still NOT "get it" or understand what carrying this stigmata actually means "in real life".
Rather than embed it here, I'll just post a link to it, and if you feel up to it, watch it and comment. I actually recommend that people with related triggers NOT watch it. But am truly interested in what the rest of you think.
