in purgatory

we are now in the lego lounge of the miami airport. MIA is really a yucky airport, although I was pleased to see they have wifi available - if at $9.95 per 24 hour pass. So, I only had to pay $10 to see that nobody loved me enough to send me email in the past couple of days... jajaja

it has been refreshing to be disconnected except for the occasional stop in to starbucks or mickey d's to check in online. especially now that I have the Crackberry, I'm usually constantly distracted by texting or checking email while doing any number of other normal tasks... playing with enzo, watching tv, studying, cooking dinner, walking down stairs (to my near detriment), etc.

so, enzo is building away on the lego play center here, we have 2 hours to go b efore our flight, and then it's back to the grind. we get in at 4:15 am and I have to be at work by 8:00. tomorrow should be a grand day.

We were just here in florida yesterday, when we finished our disneyworld trip. It really was wonderful, they have every single little detail mastered and perfected, and do a wonderful job. I think the nightime parade, with all these incredibly floats that were lit up with amazing light displays was one of the most beautiful things I have seen... Enzo had a fabulous time, although he's not quite ready to be my roller coaster buddy. I had to trick him onto a few rides that were too scary for him (yes, time for another mother-of-the-year award) so as to not have to go alone... but in the end after I noticed he was beginning to suffer nervous twitches and flashbacks, I decided to just suck it up and go on the scary rides on my own.

In three days we did the Magic Kingdom, Universal Studios, and Animal Kingdom. One of the best things about the two disney parks was all the shows... we got to see a broad-way quality production of Finding Nemo - the Musical, with breathtaking costumes and special effects, a comedy show featuring Mike from Monster's Inc, a Animal Actors show with famous animals from some disney films where they show you behind the scenes tricks for animal actors, how they follow cues, etc... really neat.

We had perfect weather, sandwiched between hurricanes, and amazingly were able to walk right on to almost every ride all three days. This is really the perfect time to come... everyone is just back in school so attendance is super low. We did our fair share of walking, which helped mitigate the damage from the corn dog nuggets and such.

and previous to that, we spent a couple of nice days in pittsburg with the grandparents, although I am now in severe pain with what I think is a 3rd degree burn on my leg from the tail pipe of my dad's harley.

home stretch...
