Are YOU rude?

I found this preview thing for an episode of Oprah where they're talking about rude people. It kinda makes me think - are people rude because they're arseholes, or because they've had a really shit up-bringing? I know when I was little mum couldn't handle me. I was completely wild and didn't know the first thing about etiquette even though she ( Read more... )

People are whats wrong with the world, people.
I used to just think it was arseholes, but then I realised, some people, pretend to be nice, just so they're not labeled an arsehole, so they can look down on everyone and talk shit as much as they like, cause they've convinced everyone within ear-shot, that they're so fucking high & mighty.
I am an arsehole. I know it, I admit it. I'm not proud of it, but I'm not going to try and defend it either!

You've made some good points there, particularly those relating to people trying to enforce their opinion on others (whether openly, or subtly). Having the last word is NOT the most important thing in life. Sidewalks/streets/stairs operate like the roads: KEEP LEFT, and, like on roads, if you have to stop or not move for some reason, get the FUCK out of the way.
I'll see your 'epic movie' torture, and raise you a 'top model marathon'.
:P

YES, I HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE ACT LIKE DICKS ON THE ROAD. This one time this stupid lady drove right in front of a bus to get into the other lane without even indicating. She could've caused a huge accident. Everyone was beeping and she was just giving everyone the finger. Grrr!

And the sad thing is I actually love watching America's Next Top Model. I know, so sad. ^_^

Hey I just thought of something - since Americans drive on the right, does that mean they have to keep right on the stairs and sidewalks too?

From what i've gathered, when/if Americans ever need to get out of their cars and use their legs, they walk wherever the hell they want.
Aus=Keep left
US=GTFO of the way

I answered three, yes I've gossiped, typed an email while on the phone and answered a non urgent cell phone call. That question made NO SENSE though because how the fuck are you supposed to know whether or not a call is urgent or not unless you do answer it? and guess what everyone accept for total anal retentive Ned Flanders types DO answer their phones but I always say " hold on a sec, or excuse me or sorry" when I answer my mobile. I dont know you have told me before that I'm pretty rude but it's not like I do it with malicious intent or anything like that. I am trying to be more polite but it really pisses me off when I do try and the people I'm extending this too are WAY ruder then me and go beyond rude and into bitch territory. I mean why should I have to be polite to the person who flat out says to my face how ugly my hair/clothes/ or I am?
