ARTIST 5: DELUHI
I totally love them, almost all of their songs are pure awesome, and they have yet to release a full-length album! But wait, they never will... because they're disbanding at the end of summer. T___T As a final sendoff, they're releasing a best-of, with one new song, and it looks like some re-recordings too. I might get it, just as long as they redo G.A.L.D. It doesn't work as a song without REVOLVER BLAST after it xD

ARTIST 4: 雅-MIYAVI-
One of the first J-Rockers I ever listened to, the best thing about Meevs is his sheer diversity in style. From his early hard rock, through the acoustic era, the crazily awesome Kavki Boiz and now a new two-man-band form, for me this is one artist who has consistently delivered great music. Like G, he's got so much stuff out that picking a top 5 is really hard!

ARTIST 3: abingdon boys school
Takanori has one of the most amazing voices that I have ever heard, and of course a.b.s are a million times better than just plain TMRev. I find there isn't a song from them that I don't like, and most of them I absolutely love. Rarely for me, I actually physically own all of their albums, including both main ones in limited +DVD edition. Oh, and the second Blu-Ray. Fanboy much.

ARTIST 2: Versailles -Philharmonic Quintet-
Just awe. Such amazingly elaborate and beautiful compositions, and Hizaki and Teru are equally some of the most talented guitarists ever. Plus they all have awesome costumes, particularly loving the new look for their upcoming album with Kamijo in red. Versailles just keep making epic music, and I just keep loving it. I'm going to pre-order the deluxe edition of the new album soon :D

ARTIST 1: GACKT
Who else could it really be? The first Japanese artist I ever listened to, the most consistently breathtaking live, the one with the biggest discography (and the biggest magnum) and the one who is really over-milking his chickenz right now. I have so much love for this man, it's not even a joke. Of course I listen to loads of other music too, but it's always Gackt I come back to base with and it shows in the play count.

Edit: Honorable mentions to ONE OK ROCK, DaizyStripper & VAMPS. I really love OOR's newer stuff since "Niche Syndrome" though I haven't listened to much of their old stuff, but I'd love to see them live one day. Daizy I've been following practically since their formation and they keep improving; also their alter ego Frantic EMIRY released a great single a while back. As for VAMPS, well, if you listen to them too then you probably know what I mean. You have to be in the mood for VAMPS to listen to VAMPS. Oh, and most of the time, it seems Hyde can't sing anymore, it's all husky and... not so nice. Honestly, if he ever made a song with Kiyoharu, it would be the sleaziest thing ever.
