The most arrogrant thing I've said lately
while preparing to leave balski's last night, i was defending 80s music as superficial and lacking substance (that's part of the reason why i like it. then again, my reasoning may well be wrong). then i said "i don't have the courage to be superficial."
WHAT?
that was one of those comments that began in my head as a joke, hit a filter that let it go through, and then came out just as i realized that perhaps it wasn't as funny as i thought it was. in fact, i said it partially seriously.
EW. slap me in the face. i'm a jerk!
PS: of course i can be superficial. task for the new year: admit when i am being superficial and try to be less so.
