So i was outside washing the car today, just kind of singing to myself and thinking... you know how it goes. All of a sudden I was reminded of a conversation that I had where someone said, "how can we be so arrogant to say that we understand God?" A thought that the bible could be interpreted so many different ways and that the people who wrote it were only human. This has been on my mind for a while, knowing that there was an answer that i just hadn't thought of that was good enough to tell anyone besides, 'its divinely inspired by the holy spirit' i mean - you can say that but if someone doesn't believe that the bible is the complete and perfect word of God you're really not going to get anywhere. Then i started thinking about Jesus and realized he's the answer - as he usually is. He was sent here to be both God and human. Some people don't believe the bible is perfect but they still believe that Jesus is perfect and the son of God. He also IS GOD -- he took on a human form, he came to be God in the flesh -- anything he says to us is God's word -- anything he did was God's heart turned into action. He corroborates the rest of the bible - he IS the bible - the word of God made flesh. So I say how can we be so arrogant as to NOT accept what we CAN understand? Jesus came so that he might save us but also that we might understand more. What does it mean to be a Christian? CHRIST - nothing less - Jesus didn't ever stop being perfect - every area of his life was God's - therefore why should my life be any less God's? Everything in my life is his.
