Silver Lining
Work's been hectic this month. Two reps and our admin assistant resigned over the summer, one rep was on vacation, and another rep had to take a sudden LOA to tend to family matters. I've been doing a lot of work to cover all the missing bodies. Today, while we were nearing the end of our pay run, my manager called me into her office with some good news: she received approval to offer me a 5% mid-year raise. It was definitely a nice way to end the day. I enjoy my job and it feels good to be appreciated!
Now that the rep on holidays has returned and we have two new people training, I should hopefully be able to catch up on organising our move!!
Along with getting caught up on work stuff, my goal over the next month is to start on a few home renovations. Nothing too major - new flooring, kitchen countertop, and paint job. I want to get my condo ready to sell and find a new place. It's been long enough, and I'm excited by the prospect. :)
