Wow, what a wonderful weekend. It was my first year volunteering at the Edmonton Folk Fest, a festival I've been attending for the better part of my life. I always have such a wonderful time during these weekends as a patron, but it was just that much more special as a volunteer (although, I wish I had caught just a few more workshops). The people, the atmosphere, the food, the after-party, just... everything. I can't wait to see them all again next year. I still want to apply for the Photography Crew, which is apparently the hardest crew to get on, but even if I don't get on, I think it might be okay - for the best, even. It's so much better working with a crew of people you can mingle and have fun with - and I can still snap away with my camera when I want. :)

My team co-ordinator, John, was a super nice guy. We chatted about cameras, MacBook Pros, freelance design and WoW! We even play the same class (different race/faction). Ahh, if only he wasn't 41. We're both such nerds. :þ I hope he finds someone nice, I think he's sweet. There were a few couples on the crew, one girl who I was able to make fun of ditzy people with, an older Chinese lady who's going to India for five weeks to learn yoga, and one lady who was on Maury (or one of those crazy talk shows) and is a total flower child from Oklahoma! She was a doll. One of those people that you kind of laugh at but still love.

Mom, Dylan and Tash arrived late Sunday night for tonight's Tom Petty concert! Woo! I'm excited. The rain sure hasn't let up today though. Good thing my mom packed me a lunch. She's so sweet. :D Last night I came home cold from Dragon Boat (a few of us had to jump knee-deep into the river in the rain after our boat got stuck in a sand bank!) to my condo smelling of homemade macaroni!

I don't have any specific plans for the weekend, other than checking out shows at the Fringe. Amanda wants to go for walks to help the baby drop. She's almost 2cm dialated now! Terri went from 2-4cm overnight, and was in labour the next day I think. Here's hoping!
