Happy Birthday Laura!
AHH ONLY NINE DAYS LEFT AFTER TONIGHT AND I'M BEHIND ON MY WORD COUNT! OHHH NOOO!
*ahem* Yeah, this week has been dead for me as far as wanting to work on my novel - but I re-plotted a part in the story that was boring me, and I'm enjoying it a bit more now, so I think I'll have more motivation to write over the next few days. I have Friday off so I'm hoping Victoria and I can get together Thursday night to write for a few hours.
I'm pretty sure things have ended with Kyle - and for the first time, I was the one to initiate the ending. I don't know if we have 'officially' broken up, as apparently I SUCK at being the dumper, so I tip-toed around it and eventually copped out by saying, "I need space right now." He's a super sweet guy and I am a bit disappointed, but he was simply too busy to spend any quality time with me. That, and when we had plans, he'd often show up late, or, he wouldn't show up at all, and would call several hours later. I was lucky to spend two evenings with him a week, and even though I'm busy with NaNo and my own things, it just didn't seem like there was any passion or an eagerness on his part to spend more time together. Eh... I totally went from one extreme to the other this year! First, there was Andrew, who was frightfully attached, and now there's Kyle, who is too casual. I definitely need a happy medium - a 'baby bear' that's 'just right', if you will. (Oh man, I'm tired. I have got to get some writing done tonight!)
Today after work, a few of us surprised Laura with a cake for her birthday. :) That was fun. I hope you had a good birthday, Laura!! Now you have lots of cake to get you through the rest of NaNo-month!
