Some Done
well it's the tail end of inline until may or so while intramural's started up again after only like a week off. here goes:
Saturday:
OG Bears 2-2
i assisted on the first and scored the second for us. unfortunately i was also on the ice for both goals against, both on powerplay. i played defense at points. i didn't do too bad back there. more often than not i just tracked forwards down the boards and cut them off. it got pretty chippy so i started throwing hits. jones got roughed up a bit, including a harsh slash to the wrist. he freaked and pushed the ref getting him thrown out. he's suspended for the next one now.
we scored both our goals in the 2nd period to lead them 2-0. i got the puck behind the net skated out and threw it in jones' skates. he knocked it over to bj for the goal. later someone shot it. i was in front and the rebound squirted out on my right. i went over pulled it out a bit and tried to roof it but fanned and slid it under his glove, past his leg pad in. we gave up the lead in the 3rd, sadly. the second was pretty controversial. chelsea made the save but one of their guys ran into her. the puck got free behind her and a guy got behind her and poked it in. i was right there but couldn't get to it quick enough. it pissed me off, but there's not much we could do. that pretty much happened because of matt. him getting thrown out gave them the powerplay on which that goal happened. i think so anyway.
Sunday:
R Gators L 9-5
i told jessie on thursday we needed to win this to get in the playoffs. we lost. we got eliminated from contention. a lot of blame got placed on andrea. it's definitely not all her fault, but it's hard to compensate when you're basically playing with three and a half skaters. i played defense almost the entire game. it was rough. for the most part, i just watched everyone score. i didn't really have anything to do with much of the play, except for some rough stuff. the other team was hacking and slashing so i started taking the body hard. you mess with me, i'm going to hit you. that's it.
Tenn Tophats W 5-4
we scored off a deflection with 10 seconds left to win this one. i heard one of their guys say that was their first loss. i played defense most of this game too so gerbus could play offense. it was a good move. i wasn't horrible and he could play both ends better than i can.
they didn't have many guys so that benefited us. i don't know where ross was. either way, now we're in the playoffs and have to play them again next week, seeds 2 vs 3.
Thunder W 6-5 SO
bob subbed for timmy. this was our playoff pride game. seeds 3 vs 4. i gave up a couple of bad ones, but a couple i couldn't do much about. i think i only gave up one in the shootout and it went pretty long too. i'm thinking each team got to shoot about 6 or more times.
i'm looking forward to next session, but a bunch of them sound like they're not going to be back. it's a shame since we were beating all the best teams there at the end. we hadn't lost a game since like the third or fourth week.
briggs is talking about going our bronze team which is kinda cool. he's an alright guy and he's got a better shot than i do. i'm hoping bob can talk sherry into dropping andrea to novice and the kevin and paul from the nailers join up with us again. we'd be pretty dynamite if that happened.

Tenn Tophats Semi Finals L 5-3
i played about as bad as i think i could. i couldn't skate well, couldn't pass well, on and on. it was horrible. i think i was on the floor for at least three of their goals, while only being out there for one of ours. i played on defense and it was a shame. i wanted to hide after the first period. i got skipped on shifts and didn't even care. i felt so uncomfortable. my mind was OBVIOUSLY somewhere else. guh.
