This floor is not where you think it is

Ugh, I'm a basket case today.

I just went downstairs via elevator to Payroll to get my Metropass for November, but I accidentally hit the first floor instead of 61 (and didn't notice until I was nearly there).  So I stayed in the elevator, pressed 62 (cause from the ground level, the elevators travel to even or odd floors depending on where you are) with the intention of walking downstairs to 61.  I get off at 62, forget that I have to goto 61, and proceed to wander around in some stupified daze wondering if the Payroll person or dept switched floors without notification.  Eventually, I ask someone where this person sits and this one guy looks at idiot (me) and says very slowly "Ok, what floor do you want to be on?" to which I reply "61".  He responds "But...this...is...62..."  *CLICK* Brain starts to function and I mumble something equally idiotic and make haste amidst sniggering.

It's not like I don't know where I was supposed to be going.  I've done it numerous times.  I know exactly where this person sits.   It was like I had entered another world that my brain couldn't process (part of the bewilderment was due to floor 62 looking completely different than every other Osler floor).
