Over the course of my time RPing I have discovered a number of things that trigger the shallow portion of my brain, usually because those things show whether either A) a player is garbage n00b that will never improve, or B) someone who's possibly ooc and makes me hate forever

this is, from my experience, commonly seen with icons of small/obscure canons that no one makes icons for, but if you're playing someone from bleach you have no excuse lmao

also i like small tags because then i pick out the transition from description to talking better mentally. BUT SMALL TEXT DOES NOT BOTHER ME, SO.

Well I think people would be able to tell the fucking difference between a normal icon and a pixelated piece of trash

if no one icons it, getting a decent quality download of it is tricky, and then making it look good if you have weak shop-fu will give you shitty pixelated icons because there's nothing any better!

No. No it isn't. None of these things are hard! You can get decent quality downloads of anything anywhere, by using a magical device called Google!
And you only need to know how to do two fucking things in photoshop to make an icon that isn't shit! You set the fucking image preferences to Bicubic and you fucking crop a 100px by 100px icon!

Just because people don't have an icon of it in a community is a good fucking excuse to be lazy or for being unable to do something that retardedly simple!
If you want to use the "weak shop-fu" bullshit, I'd buy that for like stupid icons with bluh looking text, or dumb filters on them that make them look terrible, but NOT for being just a base image but pixelated.
It isn't rocket science!
