The Year According to Facebook - 2012 Review

Dec 31, 2012 11:57

(I'm sure a lot more happened than was posted about on FB, or even what I was able to retrieve going back on the Timeline)

JANUARY
I played Tarquin Kettenthorpe in the Cantina Pages’ GQE. Almost killed Jeremy because he had to leave at 6pm and didn’t bother telling any of us beforehand.

FEBURARY
Nothing, apparently.

MARCH
I celebrated my 39th birthday with a bunch of friends at the now-defunct Excalibur restaurant in Los Angeles. In garb, even.

APRIL
I played Frollo from Disney’s Hunchback in an experimental LARP played inside Disneyland.

MAY
I attended the “Steampunk Shimmy Showcase,” a bellydancing show starring Bella, among others.

Michelle got peerage in AOKP, although Jeremy forgot the Court sword so he had to use mine.

JUNE
I went on a boat ride in the harbor with Michelle and her family, as well as two of her friends from Australia.

I attended Liam’s Coronation, after which I hosted Court at my house.

JULY
Michelle and I went to see Iron Sky on the big screen in Los Angeles along with Rich and some others.

I reconnected with my childhood friend Mike Gogue, whom I hadn’t talked to in twenty years.

AUGUST
Caledonia’s second Meet, Beat, and Greet happened, and was way more successful than the first time (i.e. people other than us actually came out).

SEPTEMBER
Nothing, I guess. I think I started watching Supernatural around this time, but I didn’t post anything about it.

OCTOBER
I attended my first (co-ed) baby shower: Myra’s.

I played Captain Farrel in the Dead Ant’s Hell Night as well as a Crossroads Demon in Shae’s make-up Hell Night.

Michelle and I went to Knott’s Scary Farm for their 40th Anniversary.

NOVEMBER
Michelle and I attended Beth’s swanky going-away party at the Cicada Club in L.A.

Michelle and I saw “Plan Nine From Outer Space” at the Maverick Theater.

I saw the “Red Dawn” remake with the guys. It wasn’t half bad.

DECEMBER
Michelle and I went to see Trinity in a Christmas concert at Concordia.

Michelle and I attended the Coronation of Queen Jausserande. I was sworn in as High Druin, and Michelle renewed her oath of office as Seneschal.

Afterwards, we all attended Rich’s Second Thanksgiving party.

I saw The Hobbit two nights in a row, first at a Midnight showing with the LaMantias, then again the next day at Jody’s birthday.

I attended Warwick’s Yule, where Stephen came up with the idea of his descendants taking the name “Bannier,” as well as himself. The Herald recorded it, and we all signed a book that he had with him.

I hosted Yule at my house, during which time I was ordained as a fifth-level Druin of Gawaine, adopted the title “Archpaladin,” and changed my banner design. Adrian announced that he would be taking on the last name of Bannier here as well.

Michelle and I attended the Disneyland Candlelight Procession.

Christmas at Michelle’s house.

New Year’s at Jeff and Cynthia’s (probably).

life, aokp
