Day 12: An episode you’ve watched more than 5 times
Stargate: SG1 ep. 2x05, 'Need'
I've probably seen other eps of other shows more than 5 times but, quite honestly, i watch too much stuff to really remember XD But I'm fairly certain I've seen this one at least that many times tho, as it's my favorite SG1 ep, and the one that made me really fall in love with the show (I'd only started watching during the Space channel reruns a few years back, and caught the end of S1 and, simultaneously, the beginning of S9. So... that was interesting, lol XD) A large part of that had to do with, while watching the above scene unfolding-- with Daniel having a breakdown from, uh, 'alien detoxing' is the best way i can think of to describe it without having to explain the whole thing, and Jack trying to help him-- i'm thinking 'oh, just hug the poor guy already!', and he did. Seriously, that was the first time that ever happened in any show i've watched (cause apparently according to most tv, straight guys don't hug/comfort each other too often :S), and the whole scene was just so emotional, and gah. It just owns my heart, really. Upon subsequent viewings, I'll admit that, yeah, okay, it's maybe not the best episode ever, but the conclusion doesn't work as well without the buildup, and it's old-school SG1, which is always usually awesome, and it's Jack and Daniel, who are always awesome (their relationship being one of my favorite aspects of the show), and, and hug <3 It seriously gets me every time.
In conclusion: yes, I am a sap at heart. this should come as a surprise to absolutely no one :P
