SPN finale vid
Really wanted to get this done right after the finale, but had a busy couple of days so I wasn't able to work on it til now. Anyhoo, this is a short, simple vid for SPN's season finale (thus: ultra-mega spoilers). While I'm not completely satisfied with it (and saw some really awesome ones others have posted since Thursday >.>), I thought it turned out okay *shrugs*

Song is "Sacrifice" by Christophe Beck.
Notes:
-first time doing an instrumental video, so that was interesting. I wanted to do something short, as I'm still kinda processing the finale itself, but really wanted to vid that scene (you know the one). actually, the way it turned out, it's almost as if I just tacked some background music onto it, which was not my intention ^^;; so hopefully ppl won't think I just threw it together like it was nothing-- it actually took a while to do. The song is actually an alternate version of the score from the 5th season finale of Buffy ('The Gift'), which is a bit funny since I've seen SPN fans comparing the finale to the 5th & 6th Buffy finales (not why I chose the song tho :P) and it still got flagged for copyright, argh This was not actually the piece of music I'd originally intended to use, but then I thought of this one and had a listen and thought it fit much better. It's quiet, but powerful, which I think suits SPN's kinda quiet, but still powerful, finale.
-once again, this lack of effects options is starting to make me sad :/ usually I don't use that many, but it would be nice to have some extra ones to choose from, since I've seen some pretty cool ones in other vids (stuff with Sony Vegas, for example, which has no Mac version. also, it's expensive). And especially for shorter, simpler vids, it might give them just a little something extra. Ah well...
-like I already said, not completely satisfied with it, but I think it turned out okay. Mostly, by this point, I just wanted it done, especially since I want to get back to working on a) that Survivors vid >.> and b) finally getting back to/finishing the Long-ass Tribute-vid of Doom (which I needed to wait for the finale to air before continuing) and hope that one turns out the way I'm hoping, since I've had that particular idea in my head for ages now.
-oh, and thank you YT for actually giving me an awesome thumbnail pic this time which I can't embed, but anyway...
