Today I learned that the subject line is an actual Batman quote, as is this: 'Punk' is nothing but death... and crime... and the rage of a beast.
Nothing will top the absurdity of the Goddamn Batman, ever, but especially the latter is pretty epically hilarious--possibly depending on your thoughts on whether punk is, you know, rage of a beast. Come now, Bats, tell us how you really feel!
Thank you, Atop the Fourth Wall. I lost a couple hours watching the reviews. I hurt in places I didn't know were involved in laughing your ass off (excluding my ass, in case you were wondering).
Today I also witnessed an utter train wreck of a class presentation. Its crowning moment of absurdity came when a college student, when asked an entirely reasonable question about Saint Bridget of Sweden as a female medieval authority figure, started blathering on about how her visions came from God on high, how her being subjected to scrutiny and criticism was all about people's failure to recognize divine presence, and so on an so forth for an agonizing eternity. The motts, I has it. I live and study in a very secular society so people testifying about their faith in inappropriate moments doesn't really happen... ever.
Two more days till Patrick Wolf! I had mine & Sugar's tickets delivered to my doorstep today. We can has! eta Related to that, guys, roughly what time were you thinking of going to Hki? I was thinking mid-afternoonish because I have nothing better to do, but if that's too early for you, am I a total deserter for taking an earlier train?
