I'm probably opening a can of worms by posting this, but I have to know everyone's thoughts:
Footage was just released proving that Bush was in fact briefed on Hurricane Katrina a day (two days? Not entirely sure, it was just on CNN) before it hit. Bush was informed that they would need full support, was informed that the Levies (Levys? I dunno) would probably break/be flowed over, and so forth. Now, this would be all well and good (or better, anyway) if he did not blatantly state after the destruction that no one could have 'possibly predicted the severity of this storm, and that the levys would not hold'. Now that there is proof that not only did someone, but someone from the National Weather Society (Or whoever it is that controls natural disasters), did in fact tell him all the stuff he denied knowing. Put simply: He lied.
Now, I know all of you who are for Bush are going to say: "Yeah, well Clinton lied about his affair!" Fine, yes, he did. But that's his personal life. While I disagree with what he did, it is his personal life, and his business, not ours. This was the United States' business. Millions of lives hinged on this, and Bush not only messed up, but lied about it.
Thoughts?
