Saturday night was:
Da singing "Brand New Day" from Dr. Horrible in a squeaky voice. Me sitting next to
girlontherage on her futon while the three of us watch a documentary on moose attacks after spending the day watching movies, playing
Infectionator, & throwing Wuddles at eachother. My lip throbbing just a little from the new piercing, but it's a comforting sensation that makes me aware of how alive I feel. My stomach, content with vermicelli, italian bread, A&W cream soda, Swedish Fish, & chips with french onion dip. Feeling incredibly relaxed & living in the moment right then & there.
Finally making it back to my own apartment at 3:10am, & being greeted by a flurry of jingles. Jack was still awake & proceeded to curl up & sleep with me for a while.
They moved out yesterday. I already miss them. It feels so weird that I can't run across the parking lot & show up at their apartment for movies. I can't bake cakes/brownies with Sara & lick the entire batter bowl together. I can't have philosophical discussions over kahlua with Da. I can't reach out & poke the other half of my brain across the Jesus Table. I can't spend an entire weekend just watching movies, eating junk food & laughing with those two. I can't look around the room & think "if I haven't met these people my freshman year, where would I be?" I can't help Sara try to spike up Da's hair (& fail miserably. He had to take a shower to get it all out afterwards.). I can't sit next to Sara while playing a ridiculously-addictive online game as we listen to eachother curse, yell, & cheer when we fuck up/get things right. I can't have that swift kick in the ass only Da can provide. I can't squee over Walmart clothes we shouldn't buy..
Well, I at least can't do any of these things for a good, long while. It's funny how semesters fly by & you end up taking things for granted.. never realise how much you miss them til you're unable to do them when the moment strikes you.
504 looked so empty as I gazed through the window. I can't help but wonder if the next person who lives there will be able to sense all the nonsense, raucous laughter, & insane debauchery that occurred there. Sara was joking with me that when she comes to visit, she'd try her spare key & see it if still works. Maybe if it's still empty, we could make it a secret playhouse.
Yeah, I'm still just a kid dealing with friends moving away into the big, scary, real world. Sara plans to jobhunt, now that she's graduated. Da plans to disappear for several months. I can't blame him for doing so, but I still worry just a little bit. That's what pups do when their Da Wolf isn't around. Jesse's really sad he didn't get a chance to say goodbye to either of them, especially since he's barely hung out with either of them this semester the way I have. But that's why visits were invented!
