So as I continue to pack up my apartment and prepare for my study abroad, I picked up my KCP student handbook to read through it for advice and start making a "To do" list and a "to bring" list. Well I read a paragraph in it that reminded me of something real important: gifts. I have to bring several gifts from my country/state to give to my host family and various other people I will meet throughout my stay there.
I confess I am truly stumped what to bring! First of all, KCP recommends that it should be food of some sort because it is more likely to be...accepted? I can't say appreciated because that isn't the correct word. No one would refuse what gifts I would give them, but food I guess is more likely to be...well I guess liked. You can't go wrong with food is what I think I am trying to say in a thousand and one words. I am not sure any of that made sense. Let me see if I can work it out for myself to understand: gifts are appreciated but not always "liked" so, with food there is less risk of someone disliking the gift. Okay that sounds vaguely better.
So I thought "oh okay, well it can't be anything perishible that will go bad in a month." Well great that leaves me a can of nuts....and what else?

I need help with ideas. Please help me!!! I'll forever love you! I'll even make you an icon or something. Not that I am particularly fantastic with them, but hey tell me what you want and I will see what I can do. It can even be wallpaper.
