Even though I'm aware that all this employee - employer-thing is a two-sided sword, I know that I'm far too much caring and attentive about this problem to ever become as my old boss was. It will take some time before I can give work to another gardener, but then I want them to do their work happily and I'm preparing everything possible for me to achieve that. ^v^ Motivation is an often underestimated factor in companies and there is interesting literature about it out there. Sadly, the bosses who'd need to read that think they're far too "perfect" to need reading those - no joke, I experienced that myself with my ex-employer. xVx Loyal happy and motivated employees are the key for success, not only for the boss, for all who work in the same company. I'd even go that far to say that most employees want to do their work as good as possible, showing they can take responsibility ... but after getting demotivated by utterly stupid behaviour of their boss, they get the attitude "fuck off". Again, I've seen that with many employees in my old company with people who have been 120% loyal to my ex-boss in the beginning. Now I myself know why. ^v^
